Description

Navier-Stokes equations model the behavior of the velocity and the pressure of newtonian viscous fluids. However, there are another fluids that are not described by such equations, generically called non-newtonian fluids.
In this talk, several models for non-newtonian fluids will be presented. For some of them, results of existence of weak and strong solution and uniqueness will be shown and compared with the existence and uniqueness results for the Navier-Stokes equations.
