Description

This course introduces the nonlinear time transformation (NTT) method [1] and the MATLAB
continuation package MatCont [2] for bifurcation analysis of dynamical systems. The NTT

method can be applied to approximate the periodic orbits and the global connections (homo-
clinic/heteroclinic orbits) in dynamical systems. The approximations are usually compared
with numerical results obtained by MatCont. This course aims at letting students understand

the idea of the NTT method and teaching how to use MatCont to analyze dynamical systems.
Some tutorials will be shown step by step with concrete examples on laptop.
